A French squadron at Norfolk according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 1 October 1825

Paris, 27 September. The squadron commanded by rear admiral Jurrien and consisting of 11 ships arrived 12 August at Norfolk. Caused by the large number of sick men on board was in the village Hampton a hospital founded.
