The German SMS Hohenzollern visiting Flushing, Netherlands in 1911

The SMS Hohenzollern was launched at the yard AG Vulcan Stettin on 27 June 1892 with as dimensions 116-120 x 14 x 5,6 metres and a displacement of 4,280 GRT. Her triple expansion steam engine allowed a speed of 21,5 knots. She served as an Imperial yacht and as an aviso between 1893 and July 1914. The armament consisted of 3-10,5cm quick firing guns and 12-5cm quick firing guns. Her crew numbered 295 men. She was then decommissioned, stricken on 27 February 1920 at 3 years later broken up at Wilhelmshaven.
