Lisbon, 12 July. The Portuguese frigate of war St. Joao Baptista arrived 6 July coming from Brazil with the remains of the revenues of 1785 consisting according to rumours of three or five boxes each containing 500,000 cruzados and a small box with diamonds. The same day arrived also the crowns’ ship N.D. de Pillar with timber for the royal yard.
