On stocks at the navy yard at Amsterdam 1 October 1910, launched 7 July 1911 and commissioned 25 January 1912. Due to German machineguns and artillery heavy 15 May 1940 damaged with 3 dead crewmembers in shallow water between the channel of Vianen and the corner of Oosterland run aground, later salvaged by the Germans and broken up at Hendrik Ido Ambacht.

The 2 triple expansion engines and 2 Werkspoor boilers provided 800 hp allowing as speed of maximum 11 knots. The coal capacity allowed with a speed of 6 knots a range of 1.140 nautical miles. Armed with 3-7,5cm guns, 2-12,7mm machine guns and 70 mines.
