Dutch navy in the Levant and new building of merchant ships at Rotterdam according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 16 September 1825

Paris, 12 September. In the newspaper l’Etoile were tidings published mainly based on letters from the islands in the Archipelago. According to this newspaper arrived a Dutch frigate and a transport 9 July in the harbour of Syphante with on board the Dutch ambassador for Constantinople.

Rotterdam, 14 September, At the yards of the shipbuilders Pieter van Swijndregt, widow Visser and Cornelis Frater en zoon were de prows ‘directed’ of 4 ships built on account of the company founded by A. van Hoboken according to the announcement of 1 April, namely the frigate ship Rotterdam of 650, the frigate ship Maas of 430, the brig ship Rottestroom of 360 and finally the brig ship Nijverheid of 370 Dutch tons.
