Dutch whaler Anna Helena en Jacoba sold at Amsterdam, Netherlands on 30 October 1775

This fluytship was sold on Monday 30 October 1775 in the Nieuwezyds Heeren Logement at Amsterdam. Last commandeur was Jan Mynders.(1) Newly fitted out in 1765. Dimensions in Amsterdam foot 113¼ x 29’2”x 12’2”, height verdeck 6’10” and S. 9’7”. Prize ƒ 10.00. subcharge ƒ 1,700, H. Beth Tammesz for his master.

1. Van Sante mentioned a Jan Meyndertsz in 1774 commandeur of a Greenland whaler for director Abraham Costerus of Amsterdam with as results 5 1/3 whales, 120 barrels of whale blubber and 185 quardelen train oil.
