The navies of Buenos Aires, Brazil, Norwegian, Spain and Sweden according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 12 June 1826

London, 7 June. According to letters of Buenos Aires dated before 14 March was that port still strictly blockaded, although some small vessels managed to run the blockade. The American consul Forbes send a letter to the Brazilian admiral Lobo dealing with this blockade. From Monte Video arrived tidings that the squadrons of Brazil and Buenos Aires fought off Calonia and that the Brazilians lost 3 gunboats and a corvette with 200 dead and wounded men, and that Buenos Aires also lost a ship.

Stockholm, 26 May. This morning left count Stredingk with the frigate Eurydice (1) and the Norwegian corvette Alsen the harbour. The latter was to cruise in the East Sea.

1. She was laid down 9 July 1785 and launched 31 August 1785 at Karlskrona. designed by Fredrik Hendrik af Chapman. Dimensions 156’ x 40’5” x 17,5’-19’, displacement 1471 M3, armed 40-48 guns (heaviest 24 pdrs) with her crew numbered 340 men. Broken up in 1858.
