The shares of the Danish East and West India companies according to the Dutch newspaper Middelburgsche Courant dated 23 October 1781

Copenhagen, 9 October. The Asiatic Company ships Mars master Witts and the Prinses Charlotta Amelia left one of these days the dock. The cargoes of the last two arrived company ships are sold in a public auction with as result that the shares of the East India Company are valued 1,800 thalers. The shares of the West India Company which were on the begin of the year just 100 thalers each worth are now 700 thalers worth. The shares of the new East Sea Company [Baltic company? became everyday more worth and have now a value of 60 thalers.
