Spanish government ordered building of tankers according to the Dutch newspaper Algemeen Handelsblad evening edition dated 14 January 1929

According to an item dated London 14 January intended the Spanish government within short term to order the building of 6 tankers of 10,000 tons at Spanish shipyards to benefit the employment. Another newspaper Het Vaderland evening edition dated 12 June reported that the Spanish petroleum monopoly made in the last financial year a net profit of 14,314,000 peseta’s able to give a dividend of 6,5%. Decided was to order the building of 4 large tankers by a Spanish shipyard.
