Laid down at the Royald Dockyard at Copenhagen, Danmark 22 May 1956, launched 22 May 1958 and commissioned 15 January 1960. Displacemetn 550 tons standard, 595 tons surfaced and 643 tons submerged with dimensions 117'2"x 15'4" x 13'1'". Speed 15 knots surfaced and subermged with a range of 4.000 miles by a speed of 8 knots. Armed with 4-21"torpedo tubes.
