Argentinean destroyers arrived at Den Helder, Netherlands according to the Dutch newspaper Het Vaderland: staat- en letterkundig nieuwsblad evening edition dated 11 September 1929


At the Dutch naval base at Den Helder, Netherlands arrived in the afternoon of 10 September the Argentinean destroyers Tucuman and Mendoza, both with a displacement of 1,650 tons. (1) They were built at the yard of Cowes and of the same type as the new Dutch destroyers.(2) Their crews numbered each 100 men. They were to fitted out at the navy yard with electric equipment and optical instruments.

1. Part of the Mendoza-class consisting of the Mendoza (E-3), La Rioja (E-4) and Tucuman (E-5), built by J.S. White at Cowes, Wight based on a British flotilla leader design. 
2. This must be the so-called Admiralen-class, using a Yarrow&Co. design based on the British destroyers HMS Ambuscade and Amazon.
