The Austrian and Spanish navies and the Colombian privateer el Liberador in the Mediterraean according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 17 May 1826

Trieste, 4 May. The Austrian 46-gun frigate Hebé (1) and a crew of 246 men, commanded by colonel Dandolo arrived yesterday after a voyage of 10 days from Messina. She escorted 8 transports which embarked Austrian troops returning from Sicilia.

Cadiz, 21 April. The Colombian privateer el Liberador, armed with 8 howitzers, 4-24pdr carronades and 2-18pdrs, which cruised since 14 days in the waters caused a lot of stress and the steamboat between Gibraltar and Cadiz didn’t sail anymore until the privateer was stopped. Since she appeared off Cadiz she made several prizes and 5 Spanish warships which chased for her couldn’t catch her.

1. This must be the Ebe, a frigate of 44 guns. The building begun at Venice in 1811 and she was transferred to Austria 25 April 1814 while being ready for 75%. She was launched 14 July 1821 and commissioned August 1821 and broken up between 1845-1848.
