Commanding officer of captured Swedish frigate Venus condemned to the death penalty according to the Dutch newspaper Ommelander Courant dated 20 September 1791

According to letter dated Stockholm 2 September was major Magnus Hansson condemned by the court-martial to the death while he surrendered as commanding officer of the frigate Venus on 1 June 1789 off the Norwegian coast to the Russians.
