Germany wanted to buy Chilean warships according to the Dutch newspaper Nieuwe Tilburgsche Courant dated 3 February 1903

According to private intelligence wanted Germany to buy the Chilean warships Capitan Prat (1) and Esmeralda and the ships which were now on stocks.
