This newspaper published the announcement that the merchant bark ship Elisabeth& Johanna was to be sold in public auction on Wednesday 4 March 1857 18.00 o’clock by notary mr. C. van der Lek te Clercq in the house of W.G. Zandvoort at Zierikzee. Her dimensions were 34,75 x 5,79 x 4,54 ellen (=metres) and her measurement 406 tonnen or 214 lasten. She was again classified by Veritas as ¾ L 3,1 and returned 17 June 1854 from a voyage on behalf of the Nederlandsche Handel-Maatschappij.(1)
