Strike at German navy yard at Danzig according to Dutch newspaper Vlissingse Courant dated 15 August 1872

The carpenters at the German navy yard at Danzig and all private yards were striking demanding 30% increase of their wages. The admiralty agreed if they worked each day one hour longer. The private carpenters demanded when this news became public the same condition. The striking committee wanted to discuss this offer in a general meeting. Other labourers on the yards seemed to have joined this strike.
