Algerian navy according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 13 June 1821

Algiers, 27 April. The privateers were all lying fitted out in the harbor. Just two left with troops on board to take the place of the garrisons of Oran and Bona. If necessary could the whole navy within 3 days be prepared to depart towards open sea. At the moment was the building of a new 54-gun frigate going on. Interesting remark was that the gunners of the heavy and the light guns on board of the Algerian navy did not perform well.
