British naval movements between England and South America according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 26 January 1822

London, 22 January. The frigate HMS Owen Glendower(1) captain Spencer arrived Saturday at Portsmouth coming from South America. She had left Valparaiso, Chile 10 October and 23 November Rio Janeiro, Brazil bringing with from the first town 1.500.000 (piasters?) destined for the trade. The frigate Creole captain sir Thomas Hardy arrived at Valparaiso.

1. A 36-gun 5th rate with a builders measurement of 951 tons and as dimensions 145’5”x 38’5” launched at Steemson, Paul near Hull 21 November 1808 and sold in 1844.
2. A 36-gun 5th rate with a builders measurement of 911 tons and as dimensions 145 x 38’½”launched at the Plymouth Dockyard 1 May 1813 and broken up in August 1833.
