British navy sailors deserted during visit to the USA according to the Dutch newspaper Het nieuws van den dag voor Nederlandsch-Indië dated 14 July 1907

During the last visit of the first British cruiser squadron at the United States deserted just 3 men from the Argyll, however 32 from the admirals’ ship Good Hope, 37 from the Hampshire and even 80 from the Roxbury. According to the British newspapers was the major part of the deserters not the best sailors so no big loss.
