The building of the tanker August Korff according to the Dutch newspaper Algemeen Handelsblad morning edition dated 13 March 1894

At Geestemunde was for account of Qe Bremer petroleum refiners the steam tanker August Korff (1) with as dimensions 367x 456x 23¼ and a hold of 318 and a cargo capacity of 4,800 tons petroleum excluded a coal bunker capacity of 600 tons. Her triple expansion engine supplied 1,800 ihp allowing a minimum speed of 10 miles.
