Dutch East Indiaman serving at West Coast of Sumatra according to the Generale Missive dated 6 October 1734

The Groet, Ritthem and Ridderkerk went towards this destination. From there arrived the Hoop. The latter transported a cargo valued ƒ 136.058 including 1800 taël gold and gifts of the chiefs of Padang and Baros. The pantjalang Pinksterblom was lost off the Moordenaarshoek. The Hofwegen, Strijkebolle, Hoop and Loenderveen went towards the West Coast with stores valued ƒ 280.143 for Padang and corresponding offices and ƒ 61.196 for the Salidase goldmines. With the Hofwegen were 25 soldiers, 8 craftsmen and 21 Moorish and with the Strijkebolle 40 European and 20 Buginese soldiers, 3 pennisten?, 20 sailors and 4 craftsmen sent.
