In 1683 a list was made of the ships, vessels and so on, belonging to the Dutch East Company. For most of the ships was given an indication of her condition, sometimes what kind of ship, her measurement and the first time she was outward bound.
Smit, an inland small yacht, well built of kiaten wood, still in good condition but needed some repairers as soon as possible to make using her in the waters off Malacca possible. Was in so-called ‘ hollow’ seas not really seaworthy.
Vlieger, chialoup, built at Onrust, Dutch East Indies for daily service, came for repairs from Bantam towards Batavia.
Leeuw, chialoup, built of kiaten wood and bought in the Dutch East Indies and approximately suitable for service with the Company for some time.
