The Norwegian new merchant flag according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 4 June 1821



Christiana, 15 May. The Odelsthing accepted 4 May a new merchant flag. The flag was red coloured with a white cross and a blue cross within the white cross. She was to be used everywhere as soon as she was recognised by the Barbary States and especially there were none Turkish sea passports were needed.
