Danish naval shipbuilding and movements according to the Dutch newspaper Nederlandsche staatscourant dated 18 September 1826

According to an item dated Copenhagen, Denmark 9 September were at the naval yard 2 ships of the line, 1 large frigate and a brig on stocks. The corvette Nayade (1) arrived recently coming from the West Indies with on board 160,000 piasters in gold which was the tax revenue of the colony. The money was to be brought to England to pay for the dividend of the loan. The brig of war St. Johan (2) arrived on 8 September from the West Indies. Her commanding officer Hedemann died at Puerto Cabello.

1. Corvette Najaden, launched at Nyholm, Copenhagen on 26 May 1820, commissioned on 1 September 1820, decommissioned in 1852, dimensions 37,50 x 9,18 x 3,90 metres and a displacement of 266,75 last and armed with 20-18pdrs.
