Dutch Kon. Petroleum Maatschappij ordered building of two tankers according to the Dutch newspaper Het Vaderland morning edition dated 8 January 1925

The yard of the Rotterdamsche Droogdok Maatschappij received again orders for the building of two tankers on behalf of the Kon. Petroleum Maatschappij.(1)

1. This item was confirmed by the newspapers Het nieuws van den dag voor Nederlandsch-Indië dated 9 January and Nieuwe Rotterdamsche Courant dated 7 January. The newspaper Voorwaarts:sociaal-democratisch dagblad 10 January supplied more details. The two 3,000 tons tankers were of the same type as the all ready serving Marsella and destined for the same line between Curacao en Venezuela. Regarded the shallow coastal waters was their draught small and the screw fitted in a tunnel to prevent damage if the sea bottom was struck.
