Russian navy department founded according to the Dutch newspaper Amigoe di Curacao dated 27 February 1950

A tiding from London reported that the Soviet Union founded a separate department for the navy according to a broadcasting by radio Moscow. The supreme commander of the navy admiral Joamasjef was appointed as minister. The department of defence was in the past responsible for the naval affairs.
