An item reported that the US navy was doubled since the outbreak of the Korean War (1) in June 1950 according to a speech at Memphis, Tennessee by the minister of navy Kimball (2). At that moment were 750,000 men and women serving against the 374,000 in June 1950. The corps marines increased from 74,000 to 200,000 men.
