Dutch merchant ships seized and brought into British ports according to the Dutch magazine Maandelyksche Nederlandsche Mercurius dated August 1759

In a list published at Amsterdam was clearly shown how the Dutch merchant trade shipping suffered from British seizures. Especially ships of Amsterdam were seized and brought in to British ports.(1)

The list mentioned that beside these seized ships such a large number of other ships were plundered by the British that there was not enough space on the list to publish more facts. Total estimates damage was 13.000.000 Dutch guilders. Since the list was published were some ships released.
