An announcement reported that the brokers J. Flines, T. Beth Ysbransz, A. Dykman and J.H. Witte intended to sell on Monday 17 November in the Nieuwezyds Heeren Logement at Amsterdam the extra ordinary well sailing fluytship De Vrouw Maria, commandeur Gerrit Smit, in 1747 new, dimensions 111½’x 23’7”x 12’3”, height verdeck 6’7”and steering platform 9’2” and all the whale catchers tools of the commandeur.
