Large number of British transports lost according to the Dutch newspaper Courier d’Amsterdam dated 2 May 1811

An item dated Sevilla, Spain 4 April reported that a heavy storm which harassed Cadiz on 27, 28 and 29 March caused the sinking of 150 loaded British transports. Even the warships had difficulty to survive and suffered badly.
