Launching of the British ship of the line HMS Royal Albert according to the Dutch newspaper Sheboygan Nieuwsbode dated Tuesday 20 June 1854

London, 14 May. Yesterday was at Woolwich in the presence of a large number of spectators the 134 gun Royal Albert launched. According to the latest reports of the admiralty possessed England at that moment 130 steam warships at sea of which 48 screw steam ships while another 40 were being build or nearly completed.

1. Launched at the Woolwich dockyard on 13 May 1854 after standing ten years on stocks. The screw steam ship of the line had a builders measurement of 3,726 tons and displacement of 5,517 tons and as main dimensions 233 x 61 feet and was finally sold in September 1884.
