An item reported the intended sale on an auction on Thursday 19 May 11.00 o’clock in the tavern Het Wynkoopershuis in Middelburg of the extra ordinary well sailing and build ‘Spiegel’ gaff yacht which had belonged to the West India Company chamber Zealand with as dimensions 62 (prow) x 19 (maximum) x 8 (below the deck) Amsterdam feet and which was just a few years earlier newly build. The sale included the complete inventory as sails, rigging, 6 iron guns etc.
