USA handed former Kriegsmarine vessels over to West Germany according to the Dutch newspaper De Waarheid dated 26 September 1956
According to an item announced the US embassy at Bonn that the US navy within short time 24 vessels mostly minesweepers and patrol boats which in the past belonged to the Kriegsmarine would transfer to the West German authorities.
