An item dated Frankfurt 20 January reported that the arrival of admiral Brommy (1) commander in chief of the German navy coming from Bremerhaven was expected every time. Until now there was none final decision taken however how to deal with this navy. The North German states were lacking enough money to buy and maintain the ships and which were now to be sold. Rumours claimed that Austria which had to pay 3.000.000 of the 10.000.000 thalers needed to create this fleet never paid her part but now was willing to buy the ships.
