Paraguayan navy destroyed by Brazil according to the Dutchh newspaper Middelburgsche Courant dated 3 August 1865

An item reported that during a battle between the navies of Brazil and Paraguay the navy of the latter country consisting of four steamboats of war and six floating batteries totally was destroyed.
