An item reported that the Russian navy possessed over 30 sailing ships of the line at Helsingfors and Kronstadt with a total armament of 2,468 guns, the largest of these ships armed with 120 and the smallest with 74 guns. However just 18 or 20 seemed to be in a good condition. At Kronstadt were also 5-44 gun frigates and at Helsingfors and Kronstadt five brigs and corvettes each of 20 guns.
