Russian naval strength in Black Sea and the Azov Sea according to the Dutch newspaper De Curaçaosche Courant dated 7 February 1852

The Russian fleet in the Black Sea and Azov Sea numbered according to tidings from St. Petersburg between 50 and 60 ships of the line. The shipyard at Nicolajew was building one ship of the line and some frigates.
