Sea tidings from Batavia, Dutch East Indies according to the Dutch newspaper Bataviasche koloniale courant dated 24 August 1810

The 17th arrived a private owned brig and some smaller vessels coming from the East. The government paduakang No. 8, a private owned sloop, a paduakang and other vessels departed to the West.
The 19th arrived four private owned sloops, five padukangs, etc. coming from the East.
The 20th arrived a private owned brig, a fala fala and a sloop coming from the East,
The 21st arrived two private owned brigs which earlier departed in the night in the evening coming back from the East. The British frigate Drake and a schooner arrived in the evening coming from the East.
In the morning of the 22nd departed these latter two ships to the East while capturing in the afternoon a paduakang and anchoring east of Leijden.
In the morning of the 23rd they continued their voyage to the North East.
