Schooner ship John and Jane sunk after collision according to the Dutch newspaper Rotterdamsch Nieuwsblad dated 27 August 1894

An item dated Liverpool 23 August reported that the schooner ship John and Jane loaded with coal and underway from Runcorn towards Maltreath (Anglesea) hit the bow of the tug Knight of the Cross and sunk. The tug was anchored near the Albert Dock. Her crew was saved by the tug.
