The First British nuclear merchant ship according to the Dutch newspaper Nieuwsblad van het Noorden dated 6 May 1959

An item reported that the British Navy department announced a day earlier that the British council for nuclear energy and seven companies came with plans for building the first British nuclear merchant ship. A technical commission was to investigate these plans and to come with advices. A second commission was to advice about the necessary finances.
