High ranked Dutch officers in non-official meeting with French and British colleagues according to the Dutch newspaper Nieuwsblad van Friesland dated 26 June 1939

An item reported that the press service of the Dutch government denied the tiding published in the British newspaper Daily Telegraph that some high-ranked Dutch navy officers serving in the Dutch East Indies would visit Singapore for a non-official meeting with British and French navy representatives. This tiding was nonsense because of the Dutch neutrality.
