An announcement dated Batavia 7 February reported that John Price&Co. intended to sell on Friday 27 February at 09.00 o’clock on a public auction the American 3-mast ship Emerald Isle of 1.696,57 tons built in 1853 of oak in Bath, Maine and inventory as she was lying there. The inventory was stored in storehouses.
