Dutch frigate ship Aurora for sale according to the Dutch newspaper Opregte Haarlemsche Courant dated 20 November 1830

An announcement reported that brokers in Rotterdam intended to sell on Tuesday 23 November at 16.00 o’clock in the tavern het groot Hotel van Engeland on the groote Markt during a public auction the excellent fast coppered 2-decks frigate ship Aurora with inventory including guns captain J.C. Hahn/ She measured 396 tons and as dimensions 31,90 x 6,29 x 4,44 metres.  She was now lying alongside the shipyard de Naarstigheid in the Zalmhaven. Built in 1829 in Rotterdam while using copper bolts. Is already chartered for a second voyage towards the Dutch East Indies.(1)

1. A year earlier was her hull and partly inventory also for sale namely on Tuesday 3 November in the same establishment at 16.00 o’clock as she was lying in the Zalmhaven behind the shipyard of De Jong and Kortlandt as the edition of the same newspaper dated 22 October 1829 reported.
