German Krupp building Turkish merchant ships according to the Dutch newspape De Banier dated 20 February 1937

An item dated Istanbul 18 February reported that on the 17th the contract was signed between the Turkish minister of economic affairs and the German firm Friedrich Krupp to built another seven ships for the Turkish merchant marine.  As a result were in German 14 ships to be built for Turkey with a total building costs of 10.000.000 Turkish pound to be paid within eight years.
