Soviet guided missile submarines threatened the West according to the Dutch newspaper Het nieuwsblad voor Sumatra dated 7 May 1957

An item reported that the American rear admiral F.B. Warder, director of the department for deep sea warfare stated before the Congress that the possibility that the Soviet Union had guided missile submarines threatened the West.
