French naval shipbuilding program according to the Dutch newspaper Bataviaasch nieuwsblad dated 20 December 1938

An item dated Paris 19 December referred to a statement of the French minister of navy Campeche (1) the same afternoon that the French naval shipbuilding program for 1939 consisted of totally 130 units including 4-35.000 ton battle ships, 2-18.000 ton aircraft carriers, 3-8.000 ton cruisers, several smaller ships and submarines. The total tonnage of this program was 340.000 tons. At that moment was the building of some ships already started.
