Prussian frigate Duisburg in Rotterdam, Netherlands according to the Dutch newspaper Rotterdamsche Courant dated 15 October 1860

An announcement called for the second time the owners of bills of lading dealing with MP, 60 barrels tobacco and BP 15 barrels tobacco brought in by the Prussian frigate ship Duisburg captain F.A. Wiegmann coming from Baltimore to contact as soon as possible at Wambersie&Zoon.(1)

1. Emanuel Wambersie (11 October 1761 Gent, Belgium-6 October1829 Aelter, Belgium) and Dionijs Burger jr. (26 January 1788 Rotterdam(-17 November 1860 Rotterdam) shipping agents firm Wambersie&Burger since 1 January 1821. After the death of his father became his son John (1806 Savannah, Georgia-19 February 1874) partner in the firm. Burger left the business on 31 January 1838. Emanuel and his son John were both consul for the USA in Rotterdam. Their (grand) son August Andrew (19 February 1835 Rotterdam) was vice-consul due to having the Dutch nationality. He became partner in the firm Wambersie&Zoon on 1 February 1858.
