The issue of the submarine warfare according to the Dutch newspaper Algemeen Handelsblad dated 9 April 1930

An item dated London 8 April reported that in the conference that afternoon held by the first committee the British minister of navy Alexander (1) stated that England it regretted that it was impossible to accept the view of England, the Dominions and the USA to abolish the submarine weapon.

A second item reported that the first committee accepted recommendations to humanize the use of this weapon and would sent these to the complete conference. Further more it was the intention to ask all cabinets which were not present at the conference to accept also these recommendations.
