Nordenfelt submarine tested at Athens, Greece according to the Dutch newspaper Heldersche en Nieuwedieper Courant dated 7 April 1886

An item reported that at Athens the experiments with the submerged Nordenfelt torpedo boat were continued.(1) On 31 March was she during six hours with four men on board submerged and last Thursday she dived to a depth of 35 feet.

1. Thorsten Nordenfelt (1 January 1842 Örby, Sweden-18 August 1920 Stockholm, Sweden) inventor. The submarine mentioned in this item was in 1886 handed over to the Greek navy at the Salamis Naval Base, saw never service and was broken up in 1901.
