Building of Brazilian river gunboats Marappata and Mercedes nearly completed according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad 1899-1900

An item referred to the magazine Le Yacht which reported that at the British shipyard Yarrow the completion of the two Brazilian river gunboats Marrapatta and Mercedes with a length of 27 metres and a speed of 12 knots was nearby.
